The Department Chairman, in consultation with the Program Director and the Department’s Executive Committee, will select either a PGY5 chief resident or multiple PGY4 chief residents.
The responsibilities and goals of the Chief Resident will include: scheduling of resident clinical rotations, scheduling of resident conference activities, invitation of speakers and scheduling of Grand Rounds, handling other administrative matters regarding resident activities, and serving as an advocate for the residents in discussions with the faculty. They will also serve as representatives of the Neurology Department to the hospital housestaff committee.
