Description:
The elective week in Headache/General residents will be assigned to a variety of specialty clinics in the General Neurology Practice providing exposure to general neurology, sleep neurology and headache neurology.
Additional rotations can be set up with Dr. Yugrakh at 51st St and Dr. Vollbracht in Eastchester; a medical license is required to attend clinic at these locations.
Objectives:
- Identify characteristics of headache syndromes
- Diagnosis and manage common headache syndromes
- Identify characteristics of abnormal sleep syndromes
- Diagnosis and manage common sleep syndromes
- Identify indications and use of Botox in headache and movement disorders
Requirements:
- Attend assigned clinics and see at least one new and one follow-up patient per session
- While not required, this rotation provides the opportunity to complete your ambulatory NEX evaluation
