Neuro-cognitive/Dementia; Huntington's Clinic

Description:

The week in the Neuro-cognitive/Dementia residents will be assigned to a variety of specialty clinics in the Aging and Dementia Division. Attending Huntington's Clinic can be arranged in addition to these clinics.

Objectives:

  • Recognize when a patient has a cognitive/behavioral or neurodegenerative disorder
  • Identify common neuro-cognitive/behavioral disorders
  • Diagnosis and manage common neuro-cogntivie disorders
  • Identify uncommon and rare neuro-cogntivie disorders

Requirements:

  • Attend assigned clinics and see at least one new and one follow-up patient per session
  • While not required, this rotation provides the opportunity to complete your neurodegenerative NEX evaluation

Schedule:

  • You are expected to attend the following conferences if they fall during your rotation:
    • ADRC:Alzheimer's disease research center (1st Tuesday of the Month 9am)
    • Pathology Conference (1st Tuesday month 12pm)
    • Behavior Rounds (3rd Tuesday of the month, 12pm)
  • Your weekly schedule will be provided by Dr. Jagannathan.
