Electives are formalized rotations allowing residents to pursue clinical and research activities of their interest and choice. A goal of the electives may be to initiate and then complete a scholarly project.
Electives (selectives) should be requested through Dr. Inna Kleyman (in coordination with education division leads, if applicable).
Requirements of electives:
- Below is a catalogue of the Clinical Electives available to the residents.
- For electives other than the approved Clinical Electives, a formal written elective request form must be submitted to the education office no less than 60 days for in-house electives for approval of the Program Director. Formal elective requests should at a minimum include goals and objectives of the rotation, supervising faculty, and length of rotation.
- Away electives require no less than 120 days advanced notice to the Education Office, subject to the approval of the Program Director and the New York Presbyterian Hospital Graduate Medical Education Committee.
