Quality Assurance and Safety Education Plan

Education:

1. The topic of quality assurance will be incorporated into this year's didactic lecture series as well as journal clubs. 

Projects:

1. Each fellow will be paired with mentor at the beginning of the academic year in order to work on a scholarly project. The scholarly work should incorporate safety and quality assurance measures. 

Meetings:

1. Fellows have the opportunity to participate in monthly meetings with hospital staff including administrators, nursing, technologists and other physicians. At these meetings, issues pertaining to safety, nursing management including staffing and continuing education of nurses, bed coordination, quality of EEG recordings and patient satisfaction are discussed. During these meetings, fellows will be excused from other clinical responsibilities.
