Neuroradiology/Radiopaedia

Supervising Attending:

Description:

The elective week in neuro-radiology resident will be assigned to work with the neuroradiology Department. It can also be supplemented with courses through Radiopaedia. 

Objectives:

  • Understand different characteristics and physical properties of different image modalities
  • Identify basic neuroanatomy on both MRI and CTH images
  • Identify spinal anatomy on MRI images
  • Identify vascular anatomy on angiography of the head and neck
  • Interpret pathological features of neurological disease on CTH and MRI

Requirements:

  • Complete at least three modules on Radiopaedia. 

Schedule:

  • You are expected to attend the following conferences during your week:
    • Neurology Neuroradiology conference  (Tuesday 8am, 8HS)
    • Tumor Board (Thursday 9:15am, PH 1st floor, room 303)
  • The remainder of the week, you are expected to join the neuroradiology attendings and fellows in the reading room and observe/participate while they read studies
